Signed, inscribed, and dated by the author on the title page (see photo). There is no other signed copy of this book for sale on the Internet. You can see the covers in the photos. They are quite clean. There's a very light spot on the rear cover and another tiny one hiding on the bottom edge of the rear cover. The book is square and straight. I've handled books that are better bound, but this one is fine, there are no cracks or spaces anywhere in the book. The covers are tightly bound. There's very little wear on the covers, just a crease off the bottom edge of the front. The edges and corners are perfect. There's only a little crinkling at the bottom of the spine. The pages look exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I didn't see any soiling. I didn't see any creasing or dogeared corners. There aren't any markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photographs. It's in very nice condition, very clean and showing no particular wear. The flaps are in very good shape. They do have a little toning off the top and bottom edges. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a protective cover. From a New York Times article 'In the quiet of summer, while many in Westchester were slipping away on vacation, or watching their lawns turn brown in the drought, or enjoying a brief respite from the heat in the air-conditioning of Metro-North or their cars, or watching their children on the softball diamond, a book arrived on bookstore shelves carrying the disturbing title "Westchester Burning" (The Dial Press). In this year of inescapable fiery images, the burning referred to in this title is figurative. The book's subject is the disintegration of a marriage. It is an uncomfortable reminder that people haven't lost the knack of making others miserable. The author, Amine Wefali, who lives in Chappaqua, was married for 30 years. Just how bad was the marriage? Let's just say that Gloria Steinem could have married Tony Soprano with more cuddly results. The book had a relatively small first printing, but spokeswomen for both Barnes & Noble and Borders say that it has been selling well locally, and it has received some positive reviews. The Boston Globe noted that the accumulation of detail Ms. Wefali set down "brilliantly describes the progress from the first fissures between her and her husband to the final distance between them.", Books<
