In 2000 she acted in her first theatrical performance in Florida, where she was casted as Syra in the Merchant by Plautus. After having moved back to the Netherlands in 2001 she and six other friends set up a student based theatre group called ToCo. After having completed her MA and MSc she moved to Los Angeles. Theatrical productions include The Taming of the Shrew, Not to be the Shakespearean Death Project and the Pillow Man. The last feature she worked on as a singer-songwriter was Holy Rollers and was selected to compete at Sundance. In 2010 she was cast for three short films in the Netherlands Noortje, The Man Who Cuts the Sunday Roast and Filpped (best use of Character).
